Brothers –

Thanks to you and your generosity, Alpha Chi Rho is able to offer a wide range of programming and support to our resident Brothers that is the envy of many of our fraternal neighbors. Your support has been instrumental in the achievement of academic, community service, and leadership development of our resident Brothers.

Abraham Lincoln once said, “I walk slowly, but I never walk backward.” This is true of Alpha Chi Rho. Change is one of the hardest things an individual or an organization can ever do and as we head into the future, change is inevitable.

This past August at our Convention in Pittsburgh, I laid out my vision for the future of the Fraternity – one marked by an attention to the experiences of ALL our Brothers, services that they will be able to use throughout life and how we convey our deepest, most important tenets to our newest Brothers at a central moment in their lives.

Today, I can report to you that all three of these major initiatives are in full swing:

The Engagement Task Force, led by National vice president Dr. Shane McGoey (Phi Pi Chi, ’88), is focusing on the three parts of the “Brotherhood Lifecycle” and how to best support the individual’s growth and development during those times.

Our National Chaplain, Basil Gavalas (Alpha Phi Delta, ’99), is leading the development of our Brotherhood Assistance Program – a clearinghouse for all possible services that Brothers could need throughout their lives, whether they be financial, career, educational, health or others.

National Ritual Officer, Brett Morgan (Alpha Phi, ’99) is leading a group to help provide direction and clarity in the practice of the Ritual. The team’s goal is to increase the use and understanding of our Ritual and provide members with the practical understanding of how to apply the Ritual in our daily lives.

As usual the business of the Fraternity goes on; expansions are planned and initiated, Chapters are visited, events like Conclave, our leadership school; InDeed Institute, Growth Summits and other events are held. These events, led by our hard-working National staff and supported by volunteers, are all made possible through your generous support.

I invite you to participate in any or all of these events, reconnect with your undergraduate Chapter, or participate in/plan a local alumni gathering. Please consider bringing your experiences to the table and help us develop the next generation of leaders. Do not hesitate to contact me or the National Office if you have any questions, wish to volunteer, or just want to share your experiences with us.

I look forward to hearing from you or seeing you at our next event!

Yours In the Bond of Brotherhood,

Joshua S. Brodsky

Mu Chi Phi ’93

Alpha Chi Rho National President
