FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 2026 – 2027 Resident Councillors and Alternate Resident Councillors Elected at InDeed Institute

At the 2026 InDeed Institute, four undergraduate members were elected to the National Council as the 2026 – 2027 Resident Councillors and Alternate Resident Councillors. Pranav Babu (Phi Lambda, 2028) and Logan Mitchell (Iota Chi Phi, 2029) will serve as Resident Councillors while Benjamin LaPorto (Delta Phi, 2028) and Maximus David (Alpha Phi Gamma, 2029) are serving as Alternate Resident Councillors.

Pranav “PV” Babu is a student at Penn State University pursuing a degree in Computational Data Science with an expected graduation date of May 2028. PV enjoys staying active through sports and recreational activities. He plays a variety of sports, with golf and cricket being his favorites, and values the teamwork, discipline, and competitiveness they bring. PV also enjoys traveling and he values new experiences and opportunities to learn both personally and professionally.

Logan Mitchell joined the Iota Chi Phi Chapter at Rowan University in spring 2026. Logan is a Business major with a minor in Supply Chain and Logistics and is scheduled to graduate in 2029. He enjoys being in the outdoors whether that’s skiing on the slopes or playing golf with his friends. He is interested in working in the e-commerce and retail industry after graduation.

Benjamin LaPorto joined the Delta Phi Chapter at RPI in fall 2025 and is a rising junior studying Computer Science with a specialty in Systems and Software. He is the current Vice President of the Chapter. Ben proudly serves as a ROTC Cadet at Detachment 550. In his free time, he likes to travel, play guitar, and listen to new music. A fun fact about him is that he has arachnophobia.

Maximus David is a Finance major at Pace University and joined the Alpha Phi Gamma Chapter in spring 2026. He is originally from Mahopac, New York. In his spare time, Max really enjoys playing pickle ball, spending time with friends and family, working out and listening to music. He joined Alpha Chi Rho because of the great men in the Chapter and has enjoyed the different type of family and Brotherhood that he didn’t already have. As an Alternate Resident Councillor, he will make sure that he stands up for anyone and everyone who is in the Fraternity and will always make the best and right decisions in every situation. He is grateful to have this position and will give it his all!
