FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alpha Chi Rho Announces Partnership with JED
June 8, 2018
Neptune, New Jersey
Alpha Chi Rho National Fraternity is excited to announce a partnership with The JED Foundation (JED), a leading nonprofit that exists to protect emotional health and prevent suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults, to help support the mental health of our undergraduate and graduate members.
JED equips teens and young adults with the skills and knowledge to help themselves and each other; partners with high schools and colleges to strengthen their mental health, substance abuse and suicide prevention programs and systems; and encourages community awareness, understanding and action for young adult mental health. Learn more at jedfoundation.org.
As part of this partnership, Alpha Chi Rho will promote JED’s resources, programs and campaigns to all Chapters, including jedfoundation.org/help, which provides essential information about common emotional health issues and provides guidance on what to do if you’re worried about yourself or someone else. In addition, all Chapters will have access to JED’s ULifeline website which provides more resources and a confidential mental health self-screening tool for its membership. Alpha Chi Rho staff will also help educate their Chapter’s Chaplains on the campaigns and resources offered by JED to better assist their Chapters.
