Dear Brothers:
We are sad to announce the passing of Nancy Jones. In her own right, Nancy was a staunch supporter of both Alpha Chi Rho and the Alpha Chi Rho Educational Foundation. She served on Foundation committees since 2019 and as the first female Trustee since 2021. Through the years, Nancy attended many National events, where she presented the Donald F. Jones Scholarships. Since 2006, thirty-eight individual Brothers have received a Jones Scholarship, totaling sixty-seven thousand dollars.
Nancy carried on the legacy of her husband, past National President and former Chairman of the Educational Foundation, Donald F. Jones, Alpha Phi ‘68. Don was a leader and mentor to many. Nancy was no different – she was a skilled businesswoman and non-profit leader who helped shaped the Educational Foundation as we know it today. She worked tirelessly defining the organizational mission, strategic planning and outreach through the ambassador program. Many consider themselves fortunate to count both Don and Nancy as friends and mentors.
It is truly a sad day for Alpha Chi Rho. On behalf of the Brotherhood, we extend our condolences to Nancy’s son Matt and his family.
