Alpha Chi Rho Men Make a Difference in Communities – Fall 2022 Community Service and Philanthropy Recap

Throughout the fall 2022 semester, Brothers of Alpha Chi Rho made an impact in their local communities and towards national causes. Across the thirty-two Chapters and Colonies, members participated in more than one-hundred events overall and sponsored more than fifty community service and philanthropy events. Below are a few highlights from events sponsored by Alpha Chi Rho:

The Pi Phi Chapter (Robert Morris University) and the Phi Gamma Chi Chapter (TCNJ) held their annual “Camp Crow” events to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Throughout the week, the Brothers held “mini-events” to raise awareness of homelessness and to increase their overall donation. Each Chapter donated $1400 and $530 respectively to Habitat for Humanity. The Alpha Phi Zeta Chapter (Seton Hall University) held two distinct philanthropic events for Habitat for Humanity – raising over $1750 for their local branch.

The men at the Phi Mu Chi Chapter (Lock Haven University) participated in their annual fall move-in process, cleaned their portion of the local highway through the Adopt-A-Highway program, and held multiple canning events for local food pantries and veteran organizations.

Members supported healthcare causes as well. The Alpha Phi Gamma Chapter (Pace University) held a donor drive for the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. The Omicron Phi Colony (Utica University) helped coordinate a county-wide blood drive which was well attended. Brothers at the Phi Sigma Tau Chapter (Kutztown University) sponsored a mental health awareness event in partnership with the JED Foundation.

Throughout the fall 2022 semester, Alpha Chi Rho men supported Habitat for Humanity, the National Fraternity’s philanthropic partner, Gift of Life Marrow Registry, the JED Foundation, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Ronald McDonald House, THON, local cemeteries, soup kitchens, sports leagues, food pantries, and schools. Overall, Alpha Chi Rho resident Brothers conducted eight-hundred community service hours and raised $13,657.00 for multiple philanthropic organizations.
