Brother,

I hope you and your family are doing well during these constantly changing and unprecedented times.

I am writing to update you on the Fraternity’s operations and to seek your financial support through Graduate Dues. If you have already paid your Graduate Dues, I thank you.

The Fraternity has been operating at a high level, despite the mostly virtual footprint. The five Fraternity staff members placed on furlough back in April were brought back in August 2020. To help the students return to campus, the Fraternity provided AXP branded masks to every member at no cost.

The Phi Nu Chi Chapter (West Chester University) was re-instituted in October 2020, expansion efforts continued at Coastal Carolina University and Towson University, and preparations were made to return to the University of Illinois and Penn. State University in 2021.

The COVID Coalition, established in May 2020 to address the Fraternity’s relevance during the pandemic, has completed about 60% of their assigned work. Progress so far includes providing virtual membership development and leadership courses year-round and standardizing the training and transition process for Resident/Graduate officers.

During January, the Fraternity hosted the 2021 Winter Conclave which saw more than 110 undergraduate officers (96% overall Chapter attendance) learn the best practices for their positions, how to address mental health in their Chapters, and how to lead their Chapter and campus community with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Chapter support during the pandemic has included bi-weekly calls between National staff and Chapter officers.  As feared, new member intake had an overall decrease of 58%, compared to fall 2019. Yet some Chapters have seen record-breaking class size. To help Chapters adapt to the new virtual landscape, the Fraternity continues to provide online training programs, workshops, and resources.

To help the Fraternity continue to operate at this high level and begin to adjust back to normalcy, we need your help. Your annual Graduate Dues (not tax deductible) will directly provide the Chapters with more customized and specific support. Please support your Fraternity today.
