The Alpha Chi Rho Educational Foundation (AXPEF) has joined over 30 inter/national fraternity and sorority foundations in the 2020 Cygnus Research Project, designed to organize and deploy a large-scale Alumni and Donor Engagement Survey. Information gathered will lead to a series of strategic recommendations that all fraternities and sororities can use to strengthen their fundraising activities, enhance member engagement and generate greater support for programs and services.

THE PURPOSE

We expect that this project will significantly raise our understanding about the motivations, perceptions and intentions of graduate Brothers toward the Foundation and the Fraternity. Collectively, it will help us craft better communication timing and content, design more effective strategies for alumni engagement, and identify where investment is best placed to increase philanthropic support.

THE SURVEY

The Foundation for Fraternal Excellence Alumni and Donor Engagement Survey was administered in 2011 and 2015 – this is the first time Alpha Chi Rho is participating.   An electronic survey will be sent during the first week of June to all donors who contributed at least once to AXPEF between 1/1/2014 and 12/31/2019. We hope that everyone who receives the survey will take time to provide honest feedback to help your Foundation grow.

THE INVESTMENT

The Foundation Trustees approved the research participation fee as part of the FY2020 Budget.  As donors to the Foundation, you will ensure a high return on your investment by taking the time to complete the survey.

THE RESULTS

This research will explore the attitudes, opinions, and expectations of our members, as well as identify those key factors which most greatly influence your decision to contribute philanthropically. Through the responses of all members and donors, the survey will reveal the opportunity that exists to grow both supporter numbers and contributions; identify the messages members and donors find the most compelling; and determine how our Fraternity and Foundation can forge stronger relationships with our members and supporters at all stages of their lives.
