Neptune, New Jersey, June 23, 2016  – The Alpha Chi Rho Educational Foundation is pleased to announce that Jason “Jay” Anhorn, ’95 Phi Mu – Lehigh University Chapter will be joining the staff as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Development.  Jay brings with him a strong 20-year background in higher education administration and nonprofit management, including teaching college communication studies courses and first-year student seminars.  He has held administrative positions at Lehigh University, Coastal Carolina University, UNC-Chapel Hill and Elon University and served nine years on the Board of Directors of Association of Fraternity|Sorority Advisors, including one term as President in 2008.

Brother Anhorn brings with him a wealth of fraternal knowledge, operational expertise and innovation to the National Headquarters. Recently, Jay worked on the Executive Team for Delta Phi Epsilon International Headquarters where he was responsible for alumnae development, membership growth and retention, and volunteer training.

Jay graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Lehigh University.  He holds a Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of South Carolina. He is currently a volunteer Scholarship Officer for both the Alpha Chi Rho Educational Foundation and Fraternity where he has created programs which promote the use of grant offerings of the Foundation and raised the Fraternity undergraduate men’s averages overall.  He has also designed and led the “InDeed Institute” for undergraduates, which promotes living the Landmarks of Alpha Chi Rho.

Foundation President – Gary DelPiano, ’77 Sigma Phi – Southern Connecticut State University commented, “Jay has been active with the Alpha Chi Rho Educational Foundation and Fraternity as a volunteer Scholarship Officer for several years.  The energy and excitement he has brought to both organizations is contagious.  This past spring he was the architect and head councilor for our extremely successful InDeed Institute after which we all wondered why Jay was not working for us! We see him as a leader, a thinker and foremost a hard worker who we know is the man to lead us toward our 70th year as a Foundation!”

The Alpha Chi Rho Educational Foundation Inc was founded in 1950. It is recognized as a 501 (c)(3) public foundation that can receive donations that qualify for federal tax deductions.  Our Mission: To provide the Fraternity of Alpha Chi Rho, its members, Chapters and other students with the financial and organizational support necessary to attain their educational goals.  The Foundation provides a variety of services including scholarships, loans, grants, leadership programs and educational seminars.
