National Fraternity Statement on the Death of George Floyd

Alpha Chi Rho National Fraternity extends our deepest condolences and prayers to the family of George Floyd and all those affected by this time of civil unrest in our country.

Two of the founding Landmarks of Alpha Chi Rho are the value of intrinsic worth regardless of race, creed, or nationality and the paramount duty of Brotherly love. Our Fraternity motto is “Be Men.”

As men of Alpha Chi Rho, we must face the issue of racism, inequality, and police brutality that our country struggles with today. Alpha Chi Rho acknowledges and denounces all forms of hate and intolerance.

As the North American Interfraternity Conference has said: “We must unite around the notion that fraternal bonds are built on concepts of respect, dignity and empathy for all people.”

Please note that this statement is just a place to start the conversation. We encourage you to reach out to your local ACLU or racial-justice organizations to find out how you can help local efforts.
