SUMMARY:2024 InDeed Institute
DESCRIPTION:The 2024 InDeed Institute will be held June 6 – 9\, 2024 at the YMCA of the Pines. Two delegates from each Chapter and three from each Colony are required to attend. \nRegistration opened on March 17\, 2024 and will close May 10\, 2024. Register your delegates here: axp.formstack.com/forms/lsi_undergraduate_registration_form \n  \nTHE CURRICULUM \nThe InDeed Institute is a curriculum that was developed for the Leadership Scholarship Institute (LSI) in 2016. There are four general large group sessions designed to address each of Alpha Chi Rho’s four Landmarks.  Small group “Chapter” meetings highlight the founding principles of Character\, Honor and Integrity.  The interactive program allows for large group discussions aided by relevant inspirational videos\, movie clips and news stories to illustrate specific elements of the landmarks. There is also a personal journal given to all participants. This allows for reflection\, note-taking\, and self and Chapter assessments to take home. \nEXPENSES \nThe Alpha Chi Rho Educational Foundation completely funds two (2) participants per Chapter (3 per Colony).  This includes lodging for three (3) nights\, eight (8) meals (Thursday Dinner; Friday & Saturday B/L/D\, and Sunday Brunch)\, nightly bonfires with s’mores\, and use of the entire campsite including recreational fields and large/small group space. All participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the campground.  Additional delegates are welcomed\, but at the Chapter’s expense.

SUMMARY:106th National Convention
DESCRIPTION:Due to COVID-19\, the National Fraternity will be holding the 106th National Convention in a virtual format. The Convention will be June 1 – 5\, 2021. The business meeting will be conducted on June 4 and 5\, 2021. A full schedule can be found below. \n  \nRegistration\nRegistration is now closed. \nIf you have any questions\, please contact the National Headquarters Monday through Friday between 9 am – 4 pm at 732-869-1895 or via email at hq@alphachirho.org. \n  \n“Day of Service”\nIn 2019\, Alpha Chi Rho launched their partnership with Habitat for Humanity at the local level with the Chapters and Colonies being the ‘boots on the ground’. However\, this volunteer work shifted when the COVID-19 pandemic spread\, with less Chapters/Colonies being able to hold in-person events. \nThis will be the “Day” that changes that. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic\, philanthropic organizations across the country have been needing more volunteers now more than ever. However\, we will need more than a day to complete this challenge. \nThis year for Convention\, we will be completing the Day of Service in the span of a month. From April 12\, 2021 to May 16\, 2021 Chapters/Colonies will be participating in a Day of Service to their local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. There will be some requirements for each Chapter/Colony to complete: \n\nEach Chapter/Colony must complete at least one “Day of Service” at their Local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Chapters/Colonies can hold more than one throughout the month-long time frame.\nDuring the service event\, the Community Service / Philanthropy chair must photograph and document all of the help provided for hours and public relations.\nHours and some photos must be submitted to the National Fraternity by May 23\, 2021.\nThe Chapter/Colony is responsible for coordination of the event\, showing up on time\, actively engaging at the ReStore\, etc. National Staff will coordinate initial contact for each Chapter/Colony.\nFundraising for a donation to the ReStore is not directly required\, but highly encouraged.\n\nAt Convention\, we will present photos of not only Day of Service activities but also every event / fundraiser that the Chapter/Colony has done in the last two years for Habitat for Humanity. After Convention\, the “Day of Service” will continue for every summer National event. During the Day\, each Chapter/Colony will volunteer at their local ReStore providing service and help to whatever they need while delegates volunteer in the local area of the Convention or InDeed Institute.\n\nIf you have any questions\, please reach out to the National office at 732-869-1895. \n  \nResident Councillor Nominations Open\nIn preparation for the 106th National Convention\, the nomination of two Resident Councillors and two alternate Resident Councillors for 2021-2022 is beginning in a virtual format. In order to be elected to the Resident Councillor position\, the nominee must attend the Convention. If the nominee is not a delegate already\, he may register at the link above. \nEach resident Chapter will have two votes for the candidates during the Business Meeting on June 4 – 5\, 2021. \nAll resident (undergraduate) members in good standing (meaning they are Initiated and have paid their National Initiation Fee) are able to run for the position. To view the complete position description\, click here. \nNominations close Friday June 4\, 2021. Nominate a Brother here. \nPlease direct any questions to the National Office by calling 732-869-1895 or via email at hq@alphachirho.org. \n  \n\nNominations Open for National President\, Vice President\, Graduate Councillor\nAre you a Brother interested in joining the National Council? Nominations are open for National President\, Vice President\, and Graduate Councillor! \nNominations will close on June 4\, 2021 and the election will occur during the Business Meeting on June 5\, 2021. If you are interested in running\, please contact the National office via email at axpheadquarters@alphachirho.org. \nNational President and Vice President serve a term of two (2) years. Nominate a Brother by contacting the National Office by calling 732-869-1895 or via email at hq@alphachirho.org. \n\n  \n\nGraduate Chapter Meetings / Happy Hours\nOn Wednesday and Thursday of Convention\, Graduate Chapters will be able to host private (audience selected by the Graduate Chapter) Happy Hour / Chapter Meeting. There are four slots available each night. An additional fee of $250 is associated with hosting this event. Part of the fee provides a unique trinket to all attendees\, which is designed with the National Staff.
