Delta Sigma Phi Chapter At Worcester Polytechnic Institute has a strong fraternal spirit!

New received today in the National office from the Ms. Emily Perlow, WPI Director of Student Activities

Scott,

I hope all is well with you. I’m writing because I wanted to let you know that the WPI chapter has really lived the fraternity ritual this year.

Recently, one of our other chapter houses was deemed by the city to be dangerous and men were not permitted to live there until substantial repairs had been made. WPI was unfortunately only able to house two-thirds of the displaced fraternity men in WPI owned properties. As a result, we put the call out to other chapters asking if they might have any available bed spaces or be able to accommodate men on their meal plan. The WPI chapter immediately stepped up and graciously offered a meal plan to the displaced men. The occupancy permit, after 7 long weeks, was granted yesterday, so the men are moving back into their house this week.

The willingness of the chapter to feed another chapter is a great testament to their value of interfraternalism, sacrifice, and generosity.  I, along with the displaced chapter, are so grateful for their support in a challenging time.

Fraternally,

Emily
