Convention Events & Information
The 101st National Convention will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from July 24 through July 26, 2011. The Doubletree Hotel and Suites in Pittsburgh City Center will host this year’s Convention activities. Hotel Reservations: A block of rooms has been reserved for this year’s convention. You may contact 1-800-222-TREE (8733) to book your hotel reservations. Be sure to inform the hotel that you are part of the Alpha Chi Rho Convention Block (Code ALP).
Hotel rates are as follows based on occupancy:
Single Room: Standard $129, 1 Bedroom Suite $179
Double Room: Standard $139, 1 Bedroom Suite $179
Triple Room: Standard $149, 1 Bedroom Suite $179
Quad Room: Standard $159, 1 Bedroom Suite $179
Rooms must be reserved by Friday, June 23, 2011. The rates quoted above are per night and exclude applicable taxes, presently 14%. Children under the age of 19 traveling with parents stay free. Room check-in is at 3 pm; checkout is 12 noon. The rates apply to 3 days prior to convention and 3 days post-convention based on availability.

Directions to the Hotel
From the North – Follow I-79 South to I-279 South. Follow signs for Veterans Bridge and take I-579 South. Take exit 8 and follow signs to 6th Avenue/Mellon Arena. Exit at Mellon Arena and at first traffic light (Bigelow Blvd) continue straight to stop sign. At stop sign make a right onto Centre Avenue. Hotel is on the right.
From the Airport – Follow Route 60 South, which will turn into I-279 North. Proceed through Ft. Pitt Tunnel and over Fort Pitt Bridge. Stay in far right lane and take the first exit on the right (I-376/Monroeville). Follow to Grant Street exit (on left) and exit. Follow Grant Street approximately 4 blocks and turn right onto 6th Avenue and then tune left at the first light onto Bigelow Blvd. Hotel will be on your right.
From the East – Take exit 57 off of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Follow signs to Pittsburgh taking I-376 West. Take the Grant Street exit (on the left). Follow for 4 blocks and turn right onto 6th Avenue. Proceed to first traffic light and turn left onto Bigelow Blvd. Hotel will be on your right.
From the South via Route 51 – Take Route 51 South to Liberty Tunnels and make a right into the Tunnels. Proceed straight across Liberty Bridge and take the Mellon Arena Exit. Turn left at the first traffic light and make a u-turn onto Centre Avenue. Hotel will be on your right.
From the South via Route 19 – Take Route 19 North. At the split in the road proceed on Washington Road. Continue about 5 miles; Washington becomes W. Liberty Avenue. Proceed through the Liberty Tunnels and over the Liberty Bridge. Take the Mellon Area exit. Turn left at the 1st traffic light and make a u-turn onto Centre Avenue. Hotel will be on your right.
Parking: Valet parking is available at the hotel garage for $20 per day. Self parking is not available.
