Alpha Chi Rho Selected to Return to West Chester University and Re-Institute Phi Nu Chi

Neptune, New Jersey

Alpha Chi Rho National Fraternity is excited to announce that it will be returning to West Chester University in Spring 2019 to Re-Institute the Phi Nu Chi Chapter.

The Fraternity utilized the Graduate Chapter’s formation of an advisory board, fundraising, and relations with the University to begin the conversation and from those conversations was selected through an expansion committee.

Brother Michael DePrisco, class of 1991, says, “We (my Fraternity Brothers) believe in the purpose and mission of AXP. That’s what motivated us to get involved in the reinstatement effort. My Fraternity Brothers are family. Thirty years after college, we still get together on a regular basis.”

West Chester University, located in West Chester, PA, currently has a student population of 14,451 (40% male, 60% female) and an active Greek Life community of 18 sororities and 16 fraternities. The University is the 4th largest in the Philadelphia region and is one of only 4 Pennsylvania schools ranked in the top 100 Kiplinger “best buys” in American public higher education[1].

The Fraternity looks forward to working with student leaders and University officials to expand to the campus in spring 2019. West Chester University’s expansion is added to the Fraternity’s other expansions at Miami University of Ohio, Towson University (Phi Xi Chi, Fall 2018), George Mason University (Gamma Chi Phi, Spring 2019), and Coastal Carolina University (Fall 2019).

Alpha Chi Rho is a national men’s collegiate fraternity whose purpose is to enhance the lifelong intellectual, moral and social development of our members. Through our Landmarks and Principles, the Fraternity aims to provide an experience that “Cultivates Men of Word and Deed”.   Character, Honor and Integrity are attributes that are deeply enhanced by the leadership opportunities, resources and experiences that the organization provides its members.
